Barrods Industrial has, from the beginning, attended to maintenance in all fields of industry from placement of permanent staff to running of workshops etc to offering solutions to a wide range of production related problems and implementing modifications to machinery to rectify the issue.

In the asphalt industry we offer 20 years experience from maintenance to automation of entire plants both mobile and static. We offer fully automated recipe functionality, data capture and costing reports using Omron PLC and Wonderware Scada. Our main client being National Asphalt, we have been privileged to be part of the transformation of the original manual plant to their current fully automated enterprise.

Still in the asphalt industry our services have extended to Concor, Comar and LTA.

We are passionate about the printing and packaging industry and have been involved in the AfriPack Group since 1991. Barrods Industrial holds numerous awards from the group eg: Supplier of the Year award (gold, silver and bronze) as well more recently Most Innovative Supplier award.

Within this industry we have designed and automated inline printing machines, slitting machines, cutting machines, sealing and high speed perforating machines.

Other large projects undertaken in recent times include:

Upgrade of the entire DBS terminal from old relay based logic and mimic control panels to fully automatic system using Omron PLC and SCADA.

Designed and automated pick and place machines for pharmaceutical industry using Omron PLC, Yaskawa inverters and MKS synchronizes.

Automated Evrigard glove making machinery using Yaskawa inverters and Omron
